Pro-Choice: Giving the woman the right to abort or to keep the child, read, protect the autonomy of a woman.
Pro-Abortion: Restricting the woman's right to have a child, which this stamp is targeting against.

If you really fucking think that a teenaged girl should be forced to have an abortion, then you are stupid, in fact, here's a video showing how you are fucking acting: [link]

If you are still thinking that "all teen girls should be required to GET ABORTIONS", then I have no choice but to call you a skullfucked troll, it doesn't matter whether the teen girl was being a fuckin' whore or not, you're not being very pro-choice and while I agree that "abortions should be at Wal-Mart", I disagree on the whole "all teen girls should be required to GET ABORTIONS" bullshit, why? Because that's not pro-choice, Pro-Choice is giving you the right to not have children or have children.

And yes, while teen girls are stupid for getting pregnant (except rape), they shouldn't be forced to get a fucking abortion.

I wouldn't force anyone to get a abortion, but in some cases i would highly recommand it. Like, if would get pregnant NOW, I would abort because i know i'm not ready for a baby now and I want to be fully groundet in live befor getting pregnant. And, to be honest, i have the feeling mothers seem to get younger and younger nowadays. I even had a teen mother in my graduation class, who now has a second child and her best freind has her first child too.
Like, I'm just really concerned when I hear about teen mothers. If your family, boyfriend and friends support you where they can, that's good. If not, I would rather abort.

i wouldnt force any fellow female teenagers to get abortions but i would highly recommend them to get abortions seeing how half of us are pretty small or weak (hell even the big strong ones can have a bunch of problems during child birht) and would most likely die during child birth

I wouldn't force abortion on them, but I'd highly recommend it. I personally am not having sex until I'm at least 20.

Pro-Abortion doesn't work...it breaks down as soon as you get to the doctor.  You can't force someone to have a medical procedure, and most states, by law, grant children the right to make that decision whether or not a parent agrees or even knows about the state of the child.  If the kid says no, then the doctor's hands are tied.

I'm not sure you can force a teenage girl to abort...that's kind of illegal.  It falls under "assault and battery."  I think the only exception would be a complicated pregnancy which has life-threatening consequences for the mother (ecclampsia, uterine rupture).

It's also not pro-choice if you shame women who choose not have an abortion. In my book, someone shaming someone else for not having an abortion is the same thing as someone shaming someone else for having an abortion. Pro-choice means that you respect the woman's (or teenage girl's) right to CHOOSE what happens in her body, even if you don't agree with that choice.

The only circumstance I would think a non-consensual abortion is okay is if the pregnancy was a threat to the woman's health and the woman wasn't mentally competent/able to make the decision herself. In that case the woman's medical proxy would have to make the decision for her.

If a pregnant 16-year-old wants to ruin her life, fine. But, is it a GOOD idea for a 16-year-old to be a mother? NO!!!

a child might not ruin a 16 year old girl's life. the 16 year old girl might actually be able to handle that child and could be out of school already (i'm 16 and i've left school).

Well, 16-year-olds in general can't support themselves financially; in fact, 16 is the minimum age for a work permit. And she's likely not mature enough to raise a child when she's still hardly out of childhood herself.

there is no reason why their parents couldn't help them raise the child.

If the 16 year old feels they are able to take care of a child, they should be allowed to.

If the parents want to help out, that's fine. I just meant she probably isn't able to raise it entirely on her own.

I'm not stopping her from raising the baby on her own. I'm just saying that due to the place where she likely is in life, it's probably not beneficial. When I was sixteen, I didn't have a job at all, and my boyfriend and I never could have raised a kid on our own. (Speaking of, is the baby's daddy staying around?)

Pro Choice I do support but I kinda do understand to for teens to get abortion at least when they're younger than 17. Mainly because girls that age shouldn't have kids. I know that's harsh of me to say and I know I'm probably going to get an ear full about this comment one day, but it is my opinion. I'm not saying I support Pro Abortion all the way. Far from it, but I just think that teenagers under the adult age shouldn't have kids. I know forcing them to abort is harsh and emotional but in some aspects, it might be better health and mentality wise.

Lets face it, teenagers don't always make the best decisions when it comes to things like this. Many girls say they're ready but find out the hard way they're wrong. Though I do agree there are some that make good teen mothers, a majority of them don't...

Again, please understand this is just my opinion and I'm not saying I believe all women should be forced on like this. I'm just talking out of experience with teenage mothers I've seen and known and what I think is the better option. I'm in no way saying I'm right about it either. So anyone who sees this comment, don't attack me if you disagree. It's fine if you disagree. I'm not saying you're wrong.

That's ableist so therefore his opinion is invalid. Isn't that eugenic? where doctors make people abort a fetus if its a defect so like they chose what should be aborted and what shouldn't and thats wrong. You shouldn't abort because the baby has a defect that is in fact ableist.

Nooby wannabe psychologist powers: ACTIVATE! :iconpoofplz:

From past experiences, what I know about emotions and about teen girls (well i am one so yeah), and common sense, I can easily conclude that forcing a teen girl to get an abortion would be a traumatic experience for her.

1 word: PUBERTY. With hormones and emotions driving teens nuts, making them happy one minute then depressed the next, and just taking the first tender baby steps into sexuality and reproduction...if I got pregnant when I'm still a teen (not likely, i value my virginity and intend keep it at least till i'm 18) and was forced to get an abortion, I most likely would NEVER want to even have sex again. Because I wouldn't want MORE blood on my hands. They might not want to have kids when they grow up either, because just the mere thought of it would make them remember the horrid day they were hauled off to the hospital by their rage filled parents and brought home crying their eyes out because they just lost what would have been their child, and maybe even some of their dignity too. They may feel like less of a person after that, because they weren't allowed to decide whether to keep their own baby (does 'my body my rights' ring a bell?) thus being slightly more likely to stay in abusive relationships in the future, if they find themselves caught up in one. It may even drive them to SUICIDE.

(Now guys, please don't be all like "OMG TEY WOODNT DU DAT THAY RNT WEMPS!!!!!!1111111 DEY JSD HAV 2 GIT OVR ET!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111'. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. People handle things in their own way. Some girls just don't have the mighty stone hearted emotional strength of Chuck fucking Norris. It's called human emotions, yo.

But, I digress.....)

My point is, it doesn't matter who she is or what her beliefs and personality is like. Being forced to get an abortion will change a girl's life forever. And not in a good way, either. It can be a barely noticeable change, like slightly more depressive,
moderate like becoming obsessed with schoolwork with something to forget about it,
moderate-severe like hating their parents, severe like drug addictions, or super major, like suicide.

This nooby wannabe psychologist is heading out now. TALLY HO! :iconrainbowdashplz:

(Please note that I'm NOT saying I'm right, these are merely my observations.)

I think it's sick they have an abortion video contest, to see who has the best video. It's one thing to allow people this choice, I quite understand someone being raped to be allowed this choice, and feel they deserve all the love in the world for continuing the birth. Although I'm understanding of this I still view it as the killing of a innocent child, and to reward it, as if to encourage it is disgusting. We should not be forcing, and we should not be rewarding, if the person wants to make this choice bc they arn't ready, or they were raped, or some other GOOD reason that it fine. My mother herself just turned 18 two months before she had me, my biological father actually tried to persuade her to abort me, clearly that didn't work.

There are four categories, not the standard two (pro-choice and pro-life):
1. Pro-choice - someone who believes woman should get to make up their own mind whether to abort or carry to full term.
2. Pro-life - Someone who is in support of ALL life. They support clinics and support centers that work with women to recover/prepare from/for birth. They care about both the women AND the fetus.
3. Pro-abortion - someone who believes abortion is the right choice in any to all scenarios. (I've rarely met these type, but they do exist I'm sure.)
4. Anti-abortion - someone who is against abortion in ALL cases and only cares about the fetus while it is still inside the women's body. they do not care about the woman's health or the fetus once it has been born.

I feel like sometimes pro-life and anti-abortion merge at times in a bad way :( (Sad)

If you want to see Pro-abortion people (ie just out of morbid curiousity) there is a Pro-abortion group on DA. Be warned, they are pretty extreme though, so it is not for more sensitive people who are attached to children. I think Pro-abortion is kind of weird too, but most of them hate children and don't like the state of neglected adoption centres.
